You can install Driving Speed 2 on most computers, as long as they have a 1.5Ghz CPU, 512MB of RAM and a DirectX 9 graphics card with at least 256MB of RAM. You can also run it on older systems if you have good video card drivers installed.

The application software offers a wide range of car models to choose from, including some powerful European and Japanese cars, and many of these can be customized in the racing arena. Upgrades include exhaust, intake, ECU, suspension, tires and transmission, as well as many other items that help improve the cars' performance and handling.

Dynamic Speed Adaptation (DynSAR) and the Driver’s Work-load

DynSAR is an information technology based system that allows dynamic speed adaptation to prevailing road conditions by transmitting information on prevailing road friction, visibility, light conditions, as well as appropriate highest speeds to individual vehicles. Feed-back is given to the driver, either visually or audibly, when he is close to the appropriate highest speed at which he can negotiate different curves safely.

Dynamic speed adaptation can help prevent misjudgements in the decision to travel at higher speeds. This is due to the fact that many drivers systematically overestimate the effect of increased speeds on the journey time and as a result, they may accept risk levels that are higher than they would in the absence of this adaptation. This could cause a wrong decision that leads to an accident or injury.
